Mitcham Square Father’s Day Family Tree Competition – Terms & Conditions

Promoter

The Promoter is Mitcham Square Shopping Centre, 119 Belair Road, Torrens Park SA 5062.

Competition Period

The competition opens at 9.00am (ACST) on Monday 3 August 2026 and closes at 11.59pm (ACST) on Tuesday 1 September 2026.

Entries received after the closing time will not be accepted.

Eligibility

  • Entry is open to residents of South Australia.
  • Entrants under 18 years of age must have the permission of a parent or legal guardian. The online entry form must be completed by a parent or legal guardian.
  • Employees of Mitcham Square Shopping Centre, its managing agents, participating retailers, promotional agencies and their immediate family members are not eligible to enter.

How to Enter

To enter the competition, entrants must:

  1. Visit the Father’s Day Family Tree display at Mitcham Square Shopping Centre during the promotional period.
  2. Complete a leaf card by finishing the sentence:
  • “My Dad deserves to win because…”
  1. Attach the completed leaf to the Family Tree display.
  2. Take a clear photograph of the completed leaf.
  3. Scan the QR code displayed beside the Family Tree (or visit the competition page on the Mitcham Square website).
  4. Complete the online entry form by providing:
  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • Email Address
  • Mobile Phone Number
  1. Upload the photograph of the completed leaf.
  2. Submit the online entry before the competition closes.

Entries are not considered valid until the online entry form has been successfully submitted.

Entry Conditions

  • Multiple entries are permitted; however, each entry must feature a different completed leaf and message.
  • Only one online submission is permitted per leaf.
  • Illegible, incomplete, fraudulent or duplicate entries may be deemed invalid.
  • Mitcham Square reserves the right to verify the validity of any entry.

Prize

There are 10 prizes to be won.

Each prize consists of:

  • Wallis Cinemas tickets for Dad and five (5) guests
  • One (1) drink per person
  • One (1) popcorn or ice cream per person

The total prize pool value is approximately $1500.

Prizes are not transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash.

Should any element of the prize become unavailable, Mitcham Square reserves the right to substitute it with a prize of equal or greater value.

Prize Draw

The prize draw will take place on:

Wednesday 2 September 2026

Ten (10) winning entries will be randomly selected from all eligible entries received during the promotional period.

Winner Notification

Winners will be:

  • contacted via the email address or mobile phone number supplied on the online entry form; and
  • announced on the official Mitcham Square Facebook and Instagram pages.

If a winner cannot be contacted within seven (7) days, or does not claim their prize within fourteen (14) days of notification, Mitcham Square reserves the right to conduct a redraw.

Privacy

Personal information collected will be used solely for the administration of this competition and prize fulfilment.

If entrants choose to opt in, their details may also be used by Mitcham Square to provide marketing communications, promotions, events and special offers.

Personal information will be handled in accordance with the Mitcham Square Privacy Policy.

Use of Entries

By entering the competition, entrants grant Mitcham Square a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to publish or reproduce their submitted message (or part thereof) for promotional purposes across print, digital, social media and website channels.

Personal contact details will never be published.

General

  • Mitcham Square reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process or submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms & Conditions.
  • Mitcham Square accepts no responsibility for late, lost, incomplete, delayed or misdirected entries due to technical or other reasons beyond its reasonable control.
  • If, for any reason, the competition cannot proceed as planned due to circumstances beyond the Promoter’s reasonable control, the Promoter reserves the right to modify, suspend or cancel the competition, subject to any applicable laws.
  • The Promoter’s decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.

Permit Information

Where required under South Australian legislation, this promotion will be conducted in accordance with all applicable laws and permit requirements.
